Start your day early with check-out, followed by a guided city tour of Kigali. Explore several key points of interest, including historical landmarks such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which offers a powerful and moving insight into Rwanda’s past.
Begin your day with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a mandatory briefing. Here, park rangers will guide you through the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking to ensure a safe and respectful experience for both visitors and the mountain gorillas.
Once you locate a gorilla family, you’ll be allowed to spend a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat an awe-inspiring experience that offers unforgettable sights and sounds deep within the jungle. After the trek, return to the lodge to relax and recharge. In the evening, enjoy a cultural visit to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, where you'll gain deeper insight into the traditions, history, and daily life of the Batwa people.
In the morning, set out for an exciting golden monkey trekking experience in the lush bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park. After the trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and some time to relax. Later in the afternoon, you’ll visit the Dian Fossey Museum in Musanze, where you’ll learn about her groundbreaking conservation work and lasting legacy in gorilla protection. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and another peaceful overnight stay. Accommodation will be at one of the following: Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge, Le Bambou Lodge, or Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge.
Early in the morning, you'll depart from Kinigi and begin the scenic journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park, one of Rwanda’s most treasured natural wonders. Enjoy lunch along the way as you travel through the country's beautiful rolling hills and rural landscapes. You'll arrive at your lodge in the evening, just in time to settle in and relax. Overnight accommodation will be at either Gisakura Guest House or Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel, both offering comfort and stunning views of the surrounding forest.
At 6:00 AM, you'll transfer to Cyamudongo Forest for an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure, where you'll have the chance to observe these energetic primates in their natural habitat. After the excursion, return to the lodge for lunch and a bit of relaxation. In the afternoon, head to the Uwinka Visitor Center for the thrilling canopy walk—an unforgettable experience offering panoramic views of Nyungwe’s lush rainforest from above the treetops. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
